SELEX Communications, together with the controlled company Sirio Panel, has been awarded two contracts worth a total of 5.6 millions Euro by PILATUS Aircraft Ltd for the supply of communication and identification avionic systems and of cockpit panels. The new systems will be installed on-board of the 25 turbo prop air-trainers PC-21 recently ordered by the United Arab Emirates.

The communication and identification systems include V/UHF SRT-651/N-A tactical communication systems, IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) new generation transponders M424 and ADS-B 1090 (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) receivers also enable to simulate a wide range of tactical-operational scenarios during the training sessions of the pilots. The cockpit panels will allow the interfacing between the pilot and the general flight systems.

This important result further strengthens the partnership between SELEX Communications and Pilatus Aircraft Ltd and witnesses the increasing international interest for the avionic solutions offered by SELEX Communications.
