The consortium comprising Ansaldo STS and SELEX Communications, Finmeccanica companies and Zarubezhstroytechnology, a subsidiary of Russian Railways JSC RZD, have signed a contract worth a total of about Euro 247 million to build signaling, automation, telecommunications, power supply, security and ticketing systems on the Sirth to Benghazi line in Libya.

SELEX Communications - a Finmeccanica company and a global supplier of advanced Communications, Navigation and Identification solutions - has been awarded an initial development contract by Saab to equip the Gripen NG (Next Generation) multi-role combat aircraft with an IFF (Identification Friend-or-Foe) system. This initial contract will be followed by production orders once the aircraft enters production.

The Police Forces of Buenos Aires will operate with SELEX Communications’ TETRA telecommunication system. SELEX Communications, together with the controlled company Sirio Panel, has been awarded two contracts worth a total of 5.6 millions Euro by PILATUS Aircraft Ltd for the supply of communication and identification avionic systems and of cockpit panels. The new systems will be installed on-board of the 25 turbo prop air-trainers PC-21 recently ordered by the United Arab Emirates.
